Tajiks Council of Australia is a proud and vibrant community organisation representing Tajiks living in Melbourne, Victoria. Rooted in a rich cultural heritage and a strong sense of unity, our Council serves as a bridge between our ancestral homeland and our new home in Australia. Through cultural events, such as traditional music and dance festivals, art exhibitions, and culinary showcases, we celebrate our heritage and share it with the wider community. These events not only highlight our traditions but also encourage cultural exchange and appreciation.

To preserve, promote, and strengthen the cultural, linguistic, and social identity of Tajiks living in Australia while fostering unity, inclusion, and active participation within Australia’s multicultural society.
Who we are?
The Tajik Council of Australia is a community organisation based in Victoria, dedicated to representing and supporting Tajiks across Australia. Guided by the laws of Australia and the values of respect, unity, and service, we work to protect our Persian (Dari) heritage while building a strong and connected community for future generations.
What we do?
We organise cultural, educational, and social initiatives that support the Tajik community and promote community wellbeing. Our activities include cultural events, language and heritage programs, youth engagement, community support services, and cooperation with civic and multicultural organisations to encourage inclusion, advocacy, and social participation.

Building our future

Our educational programs are designed to empower community members of all ages. We offer language classes, workshops on Tajik history, and seminars that promote personal and professional development. By equipping our members with knowledge and skills, we help them thrive in their new environment while staying connected to their roots.
